If your brow hairs grow downwards, sideways or in three directions at once, lamination is the fix. Combing them up and setting them there covers gaps that a pencil cannot fill, because you are using your own hair to do it.

It also buys back time. Brow gel and soap brows are a daily job. Lamination holds the same look for weeks without you touching it.

The honest limit is this. Lamination works on hair that is there. If a section of your brow has no hair growing in it at all, there is nothing to comb over the gap, so henna or tint will do more for you.

1. Consultation and brow mapping. Your shape and how much lift you want are agreed first.

2. The brows are cleaned to strip out makeup, oils and skincare.

3. Lifting cream is applied to the base and middle of each hair, avoiding the fragile tips.

4. Each hair is combed straight up into position and covered with film to hold heat in → The heat helps the cream work evenly.

5. It processes to suit your hair texture. Fine hair takes around 7 to 8 minutes, medium around 10, coarse up to 12.

6. The lifting cream is removed and setting lotion goes on for the same length of time → This is the step that locks the new shape in.

7. A nourishing treatment is applied to rehydrate the hair.

8. Tint or henna can be added here if you have booked it → Colour takes faster than usual after lamination, so it is watched closely.

9. Shaping is done last with wax and tweezers, then the brows are brushed into place.

It grows out. The lift softens gradually over several weeks as new hair comes through.

Most clients rebook every 6 to 8 weeks. We would not recommend booking sooner than 6 weeks, as back to back processing is what damages brow hair.

Your Patch Test

Brow lamination needs its own patch test at least 48 hours before your appointment, even if you have already been tested for tint. The products are different.

• Small amounts of the lifting, setting and nourishing products are applied to the inside of your elbow.

• If you are having tint or henna as well, that is tested at the same time on the other arm.

• You watch the area for 48 hours and let us know about any reaction.

Please let us know before booking if any of the following apply, as we may need to adapt or decline the treatment:

• Active eczema, psoriasis or broken skin on or near the brows.

• A recent chemical peel, laser or microdermabrasion in the area.

• Alopecia affecting the brows.

• Pregnancy or breastfeeding.

• A previous reaction to a perm, lash lift or brow lamination.

First 24 hours. This part matters most. The bonds are still settling.

• Keep the brows completely dry. No washing the face over them, no showers directly on them, no swimming, sauna or steam.

• No makeup on or around the brows.

• Do not touch, rub or comb them.

Ongoing:

• Brush them up daily with a clean spoolie to keep the shape.

• Apply a brow or castor oil at night to keep the hair conditioned.

• Avoid sleeping face down where you can.

• Book your tidy up before the shape drops rather than after.
